Useful answers before you call or visit.
These are general answers about the clinic and dental appointments. Advice about your own dental condition requires an individual assessment.
Are you accepting new patients?
Yes. Coalhurst Dental welcomes new patients. Call the clinic or submit an online appointment request, and the office will contact you to confirm availability and appointment details.
Do you direct bill dental benefits?
Coalhurst Dental can direct bill benefit plans when the insurer supports it. Your plan determines coverage, deductibles, limits and reimbursement, so insurer estimates are not guarantees of payment.
What if I have a dental emergency?
Call the clinic and describe what is happening. The office can help determine the appropriate next step based on your symptoms and current availability. For serious facial trauma, uncontrolled bleeding, rapidly increasing swelling, or swelling that affects breathing or swallowing, seek urgent medical care.
What if I have not been to a dentist for a long time?
You are welcome to come in. The useful question is what your oral health needs now. We can start with an assessment, explain priorities and build a plan one step at a time.
Do you see children and families?
Yes. Coalhurst Dental provides general dental care for patients of different ages and welcomes families.
Will I need X-rays?
Not every patient needs the same imaging. Dental radiographs are recommended based on symptoms, age, history, previous images, risk factors and clinical findings.
Do you provide implants and traditional braces?
Yes. Dental implants and traditional braces are among the treatment options available through Coalhurst Dental. An assessment is needed to determine whether they are appropriate for your situation.
Should I contact another clinic first for implants or braces?
No. Start by contacting Coalhurst Dental. We can assess your needs, discuss the available options and explain the next steps if treatment is recommended.
Do you offer sedation for anxious patients?
Coalhurst Dental offers oral sedation for selected patients when clinically appropriate. Suitability depends on your health history, medications and planned treatment, and the dentist provides the individual instructions.
Can I ask about cost before treatment?
Yes. Ask for an explanation of expected fees and treatment priorities. When appropriate, benefit estimates or pre-authorizations can help clarify what an insurer may pay, but coverage remains subject to the terms of your plan.
Does an online appointment request mean I am booked?
No. The website form sends a request to the office. The appointment is confirmed only after the clinic contacts you with an agreed date and time.
Can I put medical information in the website form?
Use the general website form for basic scheduling information and brief questions. Avoid sending detailed sensitive medical or dental information through ordinary email; the clinic can collect health information through the appropriate intake process.
What are your office hours?
Monday is 8:30 am-4:00 pm and Friday is 7:30 am-3:00 pm. Reception is available Tuesday through Thursday from 8:30 am-4:00 pm. Call the clinic if you are unsure about clinical appointment availability on a particular day.
Still have a question?
Call the clinic or use the appointment request form and the office can help with the next step.
